About Glenview and Dimond

The Glenview and Dimond neighborhoods stretch along MacArthur Blvd.: Glenview lies north of Dimond Park and Dimond lies south of it. Glenview blends into the Trestle Glen neighborhood of Oakland, and into Piedmont; the Dimond neighborhood at higher elevations is frequently called Upper Dimond; close to Highway 13, Dimond blends into the Oakmore and Lincoln Heights neighborhoods.

Both neighborhoods are predominantly residential; both were developed in the teens and 20's and both exhibit the characteristic blends of East Bay architecture.

Glenview has a small but lively shopping district on Park Blvd.; numerous shops, scattered along MacArthur Blvd. serve both neighborhoods.

Both highways 13 and 580 are easily accessible; numerous commuter buses and informal carpool services help commuters get to San Francisco.
