Temescal stretches between 51st Street and MacArthur, and between Telegraph Ave. and Broadway.
Like its neighbor, Rockridge, Temescal is an attractive mix of commercial and residential neighborhoods: here you will find some very good shopping and dining opportunities alongside quiet residential areas. Home to young couples, students and artists, Temescal offers probably the most ethnically and culturally diverse population in Oakland.
Neighborhood density is higher than in Rockridge and home prices are generally lower.
