Some of my favorite architectural details from the Period Revival homes are the baths. They can be brightly colored with contrasting color combinations. The tile that was used in this period frequently had a very shiny sometimes even iridescent quality. The fixtures (tubs, sinks and toilets) would often be a color that contrasted with the tile walls. Sometimes the pattern of the floor tiles would not relate at all to the color of the wall tile.

The over the sink mirrors were frequently attached to cabinets constructed of wood. The were usually beveled and sometimes had two side mirrors on hinges that could be adjusted so that the viewer could see the back of their head.
