All the neighborhoods in the East Bay have their own unique quality. Just like the Bay Area having mini-climates weather-wise, there are also mini-differences from one neighborhood to another.

Berkeley Neighborhoods "Berkeley is a city with a small population and a big reputation. In California alone, there are more than 30 cities bigger than Berkeley. In Alameda County alone, Berkeley is ranked fourth in population behind Oakland, Fremont, and Hayward. And yet, we are famous around the globe as a center for academic achievement, scientific exploration, free speech and the arts." Berkeley is a city comprised of charming neighborhoods: Thousand Oaks, Elmwood, The Gourmet Ghetto, Ocean View, Berkeley Bowl, The Berkeley Hills, Monterey Market, and North Berkeley. Albany - Small Town Ambiance in a large Metropolitan Area The City of Albany’s mission statement represents the character of our special community. Its extensive transportation system includes two Bay Area Rapid Transit stations." Excerpted from official website	Kensington Kensington is not actually a city. It is an unincorporated area that is located north of Berkeley and east and south of El Cerrito. It is a small community with approximately 4000 residents. There are two shopping areas: One is on Arlington and the other is on Colusa at the Colusa Circle. Conveniently both areas have a grocery store among the other shops. The Kensington Farmers' Market is on Sunday mornings at the Colusa Circle.
