Glenview
   About Glenview Glenview, a neighborhood of mostly mid-size homes, is located east of I 580. Most of the neighborhood was developed during the Craftsman Era between 1910 and 1927. There is a smattering of Victorian homes scattered throughout Glenview. The commercial district, on Park Blv., is in the heart of the neighborhood. There is a small grocery, a hardware store, numerous other small businesses and some very good restaurants. Although the commercial district is small, just one block long, it is lively and interesting.
Glenview is a favorite neighborhood of mine. The houses are charming and the streets are mostly level. It is convenient to San Francisco with two Casual Carpool stops on Park Blv and an AC Transit Bus runs along Park Blvd. Glenview is a cohesive neighborhood with a neighborhood association and an email contact system. I am hearing very good things about the neighborhood school, Glenview Elementary. During Sunday open houses I have had neighbors come by and tell me why they like Glenview as a neighborhood.
